For those of you heading to the Freeze Festival in London this weekend, head along to the UK screening of European Girls Snowboard film ‘5 More Minutes Please?‘ Come & join us and show support for UK riders, and friends of Mint, Jenny Jones & Aimee Fuller. Showings will be held at 3pm on Friday & Saturday.

We’ve just about survived a fun, but knackering, week at the London Ski & Snowboard Show in Earls Court. It was great to see everyone; from industry people, to Mint clients, past snowboard camp crews and loads of friends. As always, the parties were pumping, the mornings a struggle and the coffees numerous! And a thank you to The Snowboard Asylum for hosting us on their stand.

So we are in England and the last two weekends have been filled with snowdome shredding at Milton Keynes Sno!zone & Castleford Xscape. Slightly different to our usual slopes in the French alps, the snowdomes have been great fun. Mint Snowboard School instructor Tammy attended The Snowboard Asylum Big Bang events, joining the coaching teams offering free coaching to everyone visiting. Other coaches at the events included Jenny Jones, Dan Wakeham, Will Hughes, Hamish McKnight, Jonny Russell & Ian Ashmore.

At the Milton Keynes Big Bang Tammy & triple X-Games gold medalist Jenny Jones provided a girls freestyle coaching session. At Castleford she joined forces for another fun session with Roxy ripper Aimee Fuller. At both events the girls were awesome, with some real talents emerging, and great progression was seen by all.

Thanks TSA for hosting these great events. And thanks to all the brands for the fun, cups of tea, chat, listening, equipment lending and happy days.

Anyway, knackered and what a day to end it all…..

A lot of todays happenings are top secret with a special project hosted by Mint Snowboard school and Just Snowboard Camps, involving JAKE OLSON ELMS and THE HELGASONS. Honestly it’s not to be missed. Ok so it’s still only the beginning of summer, but Mint instructor Tammy couldn’t hold out any longer without some snowboard fun (especially having missed the end of the season to bronchitis and a broken rib). So off to Tignes it was to get shradical with the gang; Jenny Jones, Will Hughes, Rob Spears & Neil McNair. The snow conditions were good as it was early summer and still freezing at night. They spent 5 days fixed on jibbing the hell out of everything visible and bagging new tricks on the boxes in the snowpark. Much fun was had by all, with laughs and bruises all round.

Afternoons were spent chilling by the pool as well as organising a surprise birthday BBQ for Jenny. As usual from such trips, there was little time for photos except a few documenting Jennys birthday: a birthday shred with balloons, Tammy & Jenny jumping in the lake (FREEZING!) and the odd shot of the gang.

In this episode Jenny Jones runs us through her experiences winning Silver at Winter X Games 15.
